Privacy Policy
Last updated 27 August 2026. This policy explains what information Heylee collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It covers heylee.ai and the Heylee platform, both operated by HEYLEE PRIVATE LIMITED.
Two kinds of data
This policy covers two different things. The first is information about you that we decide how to use, such as when you visit heylee.ai, request a demo, or use the Heylee platform as a customer. The second is conversation data that our customers connect to Heylee, including calls, chats, emails and messages involving their own customers. We process that only on our customer's instructions. If a company used Heylee to handle your conversation and you want your data corrected or deleted, contact that company first and we will support them in responding.
Information you give us
When you request a demo or contact us, we collect your name, email address, phone number and anything else you choose to tell us. If you become a customer, we also collect account details, billing information, and the contact details of the people on your team who use the platform.
Information we collect automatically
When you visit heylee.ai we collect standard technical information: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page and timestamps. We use this to keep the site working and to understand which pages are useful.
Conversation data we process for customers
Our customers connect Heylee to their phone system, helpdesk, CRM, inbox and messaging channels. Through those connections we receive call recordings, transcripts, chat and message content, email content, and metadata such as timestamps, participants and outcomes. This content can include personal information about our customers' own customers. We process it to provide the service and for no other purpose.
How we use information
We use information to run and improve the platform, respond to enquiries, provide support, send service messages, bill customers, detect abuse, secure the service, and meet legal obligations. We send marketing email only where we have a lawful basis, and every message includes an unsubscribe link.
AI and model training
Heylee uses AI models to transcribe conversations and turn them into signals. We do not use customer conversation data to train foundation models, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with other customers. Where third-party AI providers process content on our behalf, they are contractually prohibited from training their models on it.
Recording and consent
Our customers are responsible for telling the people they speak with that conversations are recorded and analysed, and for obtaining consent where the law requires it. Heylee provides tools to support this, but the obligation sits with the customer.
How we share information
We share information with service providers who help us run Heylee, including cloud hosting, speech and language model providers, analytics, payment processing and support tooling. They act on our instructions and are bound by contract. We also share information where the law requires it, where it is needed to protect our rights or the safety of others, and with an acquirer if we are ever part of a merger or sale. We do not sell personal information.
Where data is processed
Heylee is operated from India and runs on cloud infrastructure that may process data in other countries, including the United States and the European Union. Where personal data moves across borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep website and enquiry data for as long as it stays useful, then delete it. Customer conversation data is kept for the period set out in the customer's contract and is deleted or returned when that contract ends. Backups are purged on a rolling schedule.
Security
We use encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, least-privilege access for our own staff, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure, so we also maintain a process for detecting, investigating and reporting incidents.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Residents of California and other US states with privacy laws have the right to know what we collect, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. To exercise a right, email hey@heylee.ai. We will not treat you differently for asking.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies to keep the site working and to measure traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though essential cookies are required for the site to function.
Children
Heylee is a business product and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the product or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If a change is significant, we will tell customers directly.
